The CJ heads are nioce but will be a mistake in your application; the D0VEs would be much better (I have proven this over and over again). WebApr 22, 2006 · If you will get heads from the 1993 year and up, they have larger exhaust ports because Ford originally made the ports small to create low end torque, but it held too much heat in the engine, so they opened up the exhaust starting in '93 and later. With these ported stock heads you have to forget about the so called "ideal" exhaust to intake ratio and make up the difference with camshaft duration split. It works.
